I loved the story but there were quite a few sentences where the first syllable or word was cut off/missing. This made it confusing for a few seconds each time.. It seems to be whenever a new audio recording was made. I would put this down to bad editing.

Great story but beware of bad edits

Ein Fehler ist aufgetreten. Bitte versuche es in ein paar Minuten noch einmal.
Selten zuvor hat ein Buch mich so zu Tränen gerührt. Die nüchterne Erzählweise passt sehr gut zur Geschichte, ist sie doch aus der Sicht eines Pferdes geschrieben. Der Kroeg word weder kitschig romantischer noch unnötig dramatisch dargestellt. Das Buch zeigt auf erschütternde Weise das Leben der unterschiedlichen Menschen die das Pech hatten zu jener Zeit zu leben die der 1. Weltkrieg zerrissen hat.
Auch demjenige der im echten Leben nichts mit Pferden anfangen kann, wird dieses Buch zu Herzen gehen. Joey und auch Topthorn, die alte Zoey, Coco und die Haflinger...keines dieser Pferde kann sprechen und doch bewegen ihre Geschichte den Leser wie es Worte nicht könnten.

Zum Sprecher kann ich nur sagen: einwandfreie Leistung. Man hört die Emotionen in seiner Stimme. Auch die Darstellung der unterschiedlichen Dialekte und Akzente ist hervorragend gelungen.

Alles in allem eine klare Hör-Empfehlung. Aber dennoch nichts für sensible Seelen oder schwache Nerven.
