Dann kam endlich der Tag, an dem das Buch erschienen ist und ich habe es mir sofort runter geladen und konnte nicht mehr aufhören zu hören!
Was unter anderem auch an der angenehmen Stimme liegt! Ich liebe Stimmen! Und die von Prabal Gurung ist wirklich sehr beruhigend und wohltuend fürs Ohr.
Das klingt jetzt vielleicht für Einige lustig, aber ich bin davon überzeugt, dass man einer Stimme anhört, wie es dem Menschen geht! und bei Prabal Gurung hört man definitiv, dass er bei sich angekommen ist, obgleich ich mir natürlich sicher bin, dass man noch viel von Ihm hören und natürlich sehen wird.
In dem Buch erzählt Prabal Gurung wie er aufwuchs und wie wichtig seine Mutter für Ihn war. Gibt einen Einblick in seine Familie und deren Dynamik. Außerdem erzählt er, wie es sich anfühlt, queer zu sein.
Nun kenne ich viele Menschen aus der LGBTQ Szene und gehöre selbst dazu - aber Prabal Gurung hat nochmals sehr anschaulich geschildert, welcher permanenten und kontinuierlichen Anfeindung man ausgesetzt ist und er ausgesetzt war.
Obwohl mir dies bewußt ist, hat mich das Buch diesbezüglich nochmals wachgerüttelt.
Das Buch ist sehr ehrlich! Und man hat wirklich das Gefühl, dass Prabal Gurung hier sehr reflektiert und ohne etwas zu beschönigen erzählt, was Ihn zu dem gemacht hat, was er heute ist. Und das ist zum Großen Teil der Spirit und die Arbeitsmoral seiner Mutter.
Ich freue mich auf jeden Fall sehr für diesen Jungen aus Nepal, der gezeigt hat, dass es geht!
Ausserdem bin ich fasziniert von dem Mann, der er geworden ist.
Das Hörbuch war einfach ein tolles Erlebnis, hat mich an manchen Stellen nochmal wachgerüttelt und an anderen aufgemuntert oder inspiriert!
