Jessie Lewis schreibt sehr gut. Mit viel Gespür für eine Geschichte, die schon tausende Male neu erzählt wurde. Ich mochte nicht den Hörgenuss spoilern, deshalb nur den Hinweis in der Überschrift. Welche Möglichkeiten Mrs. Reynolds hat und auch nutzt werden unterhaltsam beschrieben und man ist um Elizabeth und Darcy besorgt, ob sie den Weg doch noch zueinander finden.

Some new characters are introduced and some players stay in character but still give a completely different direction to the story and get a lot more room.

I also enjoyed the audiobook narration, even so I needed a little bit time to get used to Elisabeth Grace and had to adjust the speed a little bit (sometimes I wonder if they put slowed down versions as the set reading speed because it is close to unnatural at "1")

This author understood the psychology of the characters and did not distort them in a sense that the book would just have been better written with other names (as it happens too often in the subgenre of the variations, were sometimes EB and Darcy are angel like (her) and angry (him) as their main "traits" to the point were it is abusive).

All in all I shed a tear or two on more than one occasion and there was the right mix of angst and good emotions.

The story begins when Mr. Darcy and Elizabeth meet again in Pemberley, continuing past the end of Pride and Prejudice. It is very well written with interesting new characters and it's perfect for fans of Jane Austen.
