UnRee Deemed: The Unwanted Daughter of a Pedophile was written as a fictional truth. The president of our Mission Group, Sister Margaret Washington asked me to write a Easter play. After talking it over with my cousin Gayle, who is a play writer, we came up with an ideal. We didn’t want it to be typical where the story simply reported about Jesus’ death, burial, and resurrection, but we also wanted to show characters who desperately needed God’s plan of salvation. There are so many untold stories of people who are utterly lost out in the world and the only savior for them is Jesus. UnRee L. Deemd was told Jesus was looking for all lost people. She was homeless, lived on the street, and was lost. Jesus’ name was all she had for years and that name, alone, had the power to help her until she met him personally.
