Ein typischer englischer Liebesroman - das Ende ist immer vorhersehbar, die Figuren sind glaubhaft gezeichnet, die Kinder geben einen witzigen Touch. Das vor jedes Kapitel gesetzte Märchen als Parallelhandlung ist eher verwirrend, daher überflüssig.
Die Sprecherin A. Flosnik spricht ein langsames, deutliches Englisch, gut verständlich, aber nicht perfekt in der Darstellung der unterschiedlichen Stimmen.
Insgesamt nett zu hören, einige saftige Liebesszenen sind eingestreut, Spannung hält sich in Grenzen, stellenweise witzig.
