Über diesen Titel

On May 18, 2016, Judy Glasser’s life changed forever. She did not see it coming. Her only son, David Glasser, was a Phoenix Police officer killed in the line of duty during a burglary attempt. That is the day her nightmare began. Losing a child is the most excruciating pain she has ever experienced. Her life is very different now. There is a hole that can never be filled.

Judy is not an expert on grief, but she is an expert on her personal journey of grief. It has been long, tough, and has forced her to look at her life through new eyes and make important decisions along the way. These decisions have helped her move forward.

During her son’s funeral, she discovered that David said "love you" to everyone he cared about instead of good-bye, even to the tough cops he worked with. Judy, along with her family and friends—including the tough cops—adopted this habit and discovered the magic of David’s legacy of love. Judy gives God and David’s legacy the credit for the joy that has slowly returned to her. God has been her Rock. As she leans on him, she has watched God reconnect the shattered pieces of her life, giving her purpose and meaning.

David's friends and family started The David Glasser Foundation in 2017 in an effort to honor David and to redeem some of what was lost when he was killed. The foundation's mission is to improve community relationships and inspire positive connections between police officers and the kids and families they serve.

If you have lost a child or someone you love, one of the most important messages that will fill your heart while listening to this book is that you are not alone. It is Judy’s prayer that you will see yourself in parts of her story, and it will give you the hope that you have been searching for.

Judy Glasser has always loved to write. Her writing career began when she became a military journalist in the United States Army shortly after her first year in college. After four years in the service, writing took a backseat to a business management career with Corporate Jack in the Box. Judy serves as the president of The David Glasser Foundation. She resides in the Denver area with her husband and her daughter's family. She has four grand darlings who are the light of her life.
