Über diesen Titel

Banished from longbourn at a young age, Elizabeth Bennet is raised among the Fitzwilliams at the Romsley estate, growing up alongside Fitzwilliam Darcy and his cousins. Entering adulthood, Elizabeth soon finds herself in possession of a secret love for him that even she knows is futile, and she must settle for his friendship.

Seeing that Elizabeth Bennet has become a pretty young woman, Darcy’s mother, Lady Anne, and her sister are desperate to separate her from Darcy. Elizabeth returns to Longbourn for the first time in 15 years, where her hopes of finding a loving family are quickly dashed. She is relieved and embarrassed when Darcy and his cousins join her in Hertfordshire, though she is determined to set aside her tender feelings for him.

Darcy is frantic with worry about Elizabeth while they are apart. No one is more shocked than he is when he realizes the true depth of his feelings for her. He sets off to convince her to love him and accept a life as his wife. Will his mother’s hostility prove too great an obstacle?

I like how this variation actually asks a valid what if szenario and explores the question of what it means to be family.

Nice story

Elisabeth is dordling along like a punching ball and shows no spine. She reacts and acts continuously stupid out of cheer obstinacy. She likes to say no, that is all she does the whole time.
She enjoys to suffer in self pity. That’s not Lizzy.
I believe that authors should refrain from writing variations of story’s, if they cannot even get the real character of the main characters straight.
I understand that she has been treated badly for a while but she didn’t complain, she never once told anyone what she wants and agrees complacently whenever nessesary. And than complaints about: “ no one ever asked me what i want to do.”
Well. That’s not the original E. She would let nothing stand in her way.
Why the author chose to slander the canon I do not know, but here it is.
I do not like her in this situation.
Darcy is spineless too. He can’t go three steps without his mama cannot send her away after all she has done. She not even suffered consequences but a few stern looks. He’s threatening with exile if she miss-behaves, but does not send her away when she purposefully ruins one evening after another.

The real Darcy would have send her away to his estate in Scotland and that would be that.

This business with her only serves to drag the whole sorry thing on and on.
And makes it more tiresome by the minute.

Very well performed. The narrator is a favorite of mine. Sadly the contents doesn’t measure up to the performance.
Really sad.

Disappointment. Has the author read the original?!?!
