Rotiaqua was the unwanted daughter of the Baron Reik. Her only crime was being born a woman.
Rotiaqua makes friends with a distant wizard child born of low birth. When a dragon intercepts them and tells Rotiaqua that she is their only hope, they set her on a path that leads to all out war where not only her survival hangs in the balance but the fate of the entire wizarding world.
Her only hope is to form a partnership with the shy farm boy who wields more power than Rotiaqua had ever seen, but his fear of the nobility runs deep and his powers are only just awakened. Together, they must master this new magic or see the dragons die out and the wizards' city destroyed.
That's a lot more responsibility than Rotiaqua ever imagined having.
