...and the story never really gains momentum. There are lengthy descriptions of everyday tasks (not just related ro sewing, which might have been interesting, but also e.g. a description of how one character deals with a broken router...at one point a shopping list is read out - the list has no consequence for the plot) and when the different, rather unspectacular storylines do come together in the end, it seems awfully constructed.
I did kind of grow to like the speakers, but I would not listen/read this again.
