More than two decades have passed since the asteroid mining ship Anaconda crashed into a space-time warp and emerged four centuries in the past. During that short time, two crew members oversaw a successful war of liberation in North America, two others eliminated the African slave trade, and the ship’s general manager created a modern consumer economy stretching across the Mediterranean.
Disrupting this utopian vision, a mysterious million-man army has appeared on the Russian steppes, conquering cities and absorbing their populations, threatening the ancient kingdoms of Europe.
