Part 2 (talks #11-#20)

Our lives are filled with expectations, fixed ideas of what should be; ideas and prejudices, that are given to us by the world—according to Osho, they are all, without exception, based on lies.

People are usually very happy, if their prejudices are met with agreement and their expections fulfilled. When you find Osho, a different approach to life is uncovered, as he speaks on something we have always been looking for—a way to be alive. His vision of becoming alive is expressed in this series THE REBELLIOUS SPIRIT.

This series continues with these next ten talks in Part 2. Osho lays out his vision of a balance between the primary need for personal transformation, as the foundation and at the same time, not ignoring contemporary political and social issues.

We live today in times of tremendous change—which most people are afraid of. People want certainty, security and control. According to Osho, this is not life. An obedient child is almost dead; hence, the parents are very happy, because he is always under control. A rebel does not follow the crowd on the superhighway, is not afraid of being alone and is someone, who lives life according to his own light, moves according to his own intelligence. A rebellious life is dangerous—a life that is not dangerous is not life at all.

The longing to be yourself is, what drives all of us but our existence feels mostly just like a dull carbon copy and we are clinging to it. And it is one of the most important things to remember—that if you can drop your ego, your personality, and allow existence to take its place, all the best and most beautiful qualities will follow on their own accord. You will not have to be good, you will find you are good. You will not have to be loving, you will find you are love. You will not have to meditate, you will find you are meditation.
