What would you do with a talisman that could grant you three wishes? Any three wishes you could imagine?
In the classic horror short story, The Monkey's Paw, by W.W. Jacobs, the White family discovers that sometimes, wishes are too good to be true. When Sergeant Major Morris, an old friend who served in the military and has traveled to far off lands, introduces the Whites to a mummified monkey's paw that he claims can grant the owner three wishes. He leaves them with a warning: IF you use the monkey's paw, be careful what you wish for!
The original horror story that inspired numerous plays, TV shows, and movies, W.W. Jacobs' The Monkey's Paw is a classic story of being mindful of how you ask for things...
