Should have learned from the Plum Island episode: Nelson DeMilles writing style is too detailed for my taste. I dare saying this book could be abridged by half, without losing critical threads of the story.
Moreover, the narrated version makes it difficult to distinguish between the 1st person narrator's spoken word and thoughts.

Painstakingly detailed
