Über diesen Titel

Joseph has been having dreams.

In the two years since Joseph’s family sacked Shechem and fled south, his relationship with his brothers has collapsed to new lows. Now Joseph is having dreams of a future where he lords over his older brothers.

Needless to say that hasn’t improved his popularity.

But it may not matter, because Joseph’s dreams seem to be coming true. Father’s blatant favoritism may have poisoned Joseph's brothers against him, but it has its perks as well. Already Jacob is trusting him with more and more responsibilities, and with the weight of age beginning to press on Father, it seems inevitable that Joseph will soon step in as his steward and heir.

But that favored status comes with expectations. Most worryingly, expectations of who he will marry. Jacob already has several eligible young ladies in mind, respectable maidens from excellent families who would no doubt make a good political match… none of whom Joseph even knows, let alone loves.

And that’s a problem, because Joseph’s heart already belongs to someone else. A kind, gentle girl who might be just perfect… except that she doesn’t come with the prestigious pedigree that would make her a good match, at least not in Father’s eyes.

And while Joseph flounders in a world where everyone seems to have a say in his life, except for him, his brothers are circling like jealous wolves.

Watching and waiting.

Because it only takes one wrong step to fall.

This is an adaptation of the story of Genesis 37 from the Bible.
