.... gelesenes Hörbuch! Die Geschichte ist interessant und spannend. Dies wird aber von der sehr guten Vorleserin noch getoppt. Selten habe ich ein so gutes englisches Hörbuch gehört. Die Akzente der aus unterschiedlichen englischsprachigen Regionen stammenden Personen sind wirklich hörenswert - von feinstem Oxford-Englisch, über breitesten amerikanischen Slang bis zum irisch angehauchten Englisch ist alles dabei. Und bei all diesen verschiedenen "Sprachen", bleibt der Text die ganzen 15 Stunden über leicht verständlich und man wird geradezu in die Geschichte "eingesogen". Absolute Empfehlung für jeden, der sich von den Charakteren einer über eine lange Zeitspanne reichende Familiengeschichte fesseln lassen möchte.
