Über diesen Titel

USA TODAY bestselling author Colleen Coble delivers high-stakes intrigue, coastal danger, and slow-burn romance in The House at Saltwater Point, the second novel in the Lavender Tides series.

Ellie Blackmore is making a name for herself as a house flipper. But when her sister Mackenzie disappears, Ellie can't focus on anything but uncovering what happened. Her only clue is the bloodstain on the deck of Mackenzie's boat. Ellie knows her sister isn't on the best of terms with her ex-husband, Jason, but he wouldn't kill her--would he?

Coast Guard intelligence officer Grayson Bradshaw believes Mackenzie faked her own death after stealing a seized cocaine shipment. The problem is convincing Ellie, who seems to view him as the true enemy.

Both Ellie and Grayson want truth, but truth--and family--is often more complex than it first appears. And they'll quickly find that the dangerous beauty of Lavender Tides is harboring secrets that reach around the world.

Featuring a mystery, an enemies-to-allies partnership, buried family secrets, and an international smuggling conspiracy set against the dramatic Pacific Northwest coast, this gripping romantic suspense will keep readers turning pages late into the night. The House at Saltwater Point continues the suspense-filled Lavender Tides series. Begin the story with The View from Rainshadow Bay, then follow the mystery through Leaving Lavender Tides and Secrets at Cedar Cabin.

Kritikerstimmen

'House flipper and blogger Ellie Blackmore tends to hide behind her glasses, but when her sister Mackenzie vanishes, Ellie can't hide from reality any longer--her sister may be dead. Grayson Bradshaw, a Coast Guard intelligence officer, has just received the shock of his life. His biological sister has informed him he's adopted. In their hometown, Grayson pursues a clever terrorist who has evaded him for too long. There, evidence connects the terrorist, Mackenzie, and the theft of a cocaine shipment. Grayson believes Mac has faked her own death to escape with the drugs. As attraction grows between Grayson and Ellie, they pursue the truth, with Grayson holding firmly to the evidence and Ellie to her heart. Coble fans will appreciate this book.'

The reading performance was good, although I’ve heard much better ones. The story line was unpredictable which kept it somewhat interesting to follow but was a bit lazy in the sense that it had too many holes in it and some parts didn’t make any sense. It was a bit simplistic and stereotypical blend of a love story and an attack on US and the good patriotic religious American people trying to stop it… Anyways, not my favorite but can imagine many people would enjoy it.

Okayish story, unpredictable course of events , many holes in the story line
