When a seemingly invulnerable clay golem begins making random attacks on London, Nathaniel and Bartimaeus must travel to Prague to discover the source of its power Meanwhile Kitty and the Resistance attempt their most audacious plot yet…robbing the beloved magician Gladstone's tomb in Westminster Abbey. London is now in an uproar; the golem is still loose and the released djinni is wreaking havoc. Returning from Prague, Bartimaeus is sent to deal with the djinni, while Nathaniel attempts to capture Kitty and retrieve the staff.

In the ensuing chaos, listeners will chase a dancing skeleton across London's skyline, encounter the horror of the Night Police, witness a daring kidnapping, enter the Machiavellian world of the magician's government, and find Kitty and Bartimaeus coming to an understanding.

After listening to all the Harry Potter audiobooks I couldn’t find anything similar, until I found the Bartimäus audiobooks! It is read perfectly, at the perfect speed and the voice made the characters come to life, such a unique way of reading, gives the listener much joy! Highly recommend to anyone who loved the Harry Potter audiobooks and also to everyone else! It’s a must!

Hat Ihnen Simon Jones an der Geschichte etwas vermittelt, was Sie vielleicht beim Selberlesen gar nicht bemerkt hätten?

Durch den wunderbaren britischen Akzent, bekommt die Geschichte eine neue Tiefe.

Was wäre für andere Hörer sonst noch hilfreich zu wissen, um das Hörbuch richtig einschätzen zu können?

Das Buch sowie der Sprecher sind wie im ersten Teil wieder großartig, jedoch ist mir beim direkten Vergleich zum ersten Teil eine leicht schlechtere Audioqualität aufgefallen.

Während der erste Teil der Trilogie v.a. die Perspektiven der beiden Hauptcharaktäre Nathaniel - Zauberlehrling - und Bartimeus - Djinni - betrachtete, lernt man hier jetzt mehr über die Geschichte der anderen Figuren - insbesondere Kitty. Das macht die Geschichte komplexer und noch spannender. Will nicht zu viel verraten - lieber selber hören ;-)
Ich hoffe, auch der dritte Teil - anderswo bereits erhältich - ist bald bei Audible zu hören!!!

Read this when I was a kid and unlike some other books that don't work anymore for adults, this one held up great. Funny and interesting story.

Der Sprecher ist fantastisch und das Buch ist sehr humorvoll geschrieben. Interessante Geschichte und dank Bartimäus immer etwas zu Lachen, was das Ganze nochmal auflockert.
