I am an adult but I absolutely loved this book! The characters are written very well and they are all so different and interesting. The story is very simple but twists into a chain of different events and I could not stop listening, I wanted to know how it ended. I love how short the chapters are and the first person narration is very relatable and probably therefore very appealing to young readers. There are very serious topics addressed in this book, but they are told from a child's point of view which I think is great and books like these are too rare. I definitely recommend this book to any reader aged 10 and up who enjoy a down to earth story that could be happening in your very own neighbourhood. As for the audio book, I think it was read very very well, there is nothing that could have been better!
