How to get good with money, even if you have no idea where to start.
The Financial Diet is the personal finance book for people who don't care about personal finance. Whether you're in need of an overspending detox, buried under student debt, or just trying to figure out how to live on an entry-level salary, The Financial Diet gives you tools to make a budget, understand investments, and deal with your credit. Chelsea Fagan has tapped a range of experts to help you make the best choices for you, but she also knows that being smarter with money isn't just about what you put in the bank. It's about everything — from the clothes you put in your closet, to your financial relationship habits, to the food you put in your kitchen (instead of ordering in again). So The Financial Diet gives you the tools to negotiate a raise and the perfect cocktail recipe to celebrate your new salary.
The Financial Diet will teach you:
- How to get good with money in a year.
- The ingredients everyone needs to have a budget-friendly kitchen.
- How to talk about awkward money stuff with your friends.
- The best way to make (and stick to!) a budget.
- How to take care of your house like a grown-up.
- What the hell it means to invest (and how you can do it).

How to be an adult
This audio book should be called "how to be an adult for dummies"...
It is mostly about how to master your life as an adult and not so much about money and finances. I really don't need a detailed list about the basic tools I need at home or all the basic spices and other pantry items...
And the advise about money is only interesting for americans.
I really want my money back...

will recommend to everyone I know
I've recently discovered TFD online and have been following it religiously ever since. Chelsea's tips and takes on how to handle your money, the little you have at least, made me start thinking about the ways I'm burning or throwing away about 80% of my hard earned money...just because I've been too lazy (and scared) to take a really close look at my financials. This book and her website convinced me to make a budget for the first time in my life and I'm actually excited to start saving money.
Everything you need to know to get good w money
Loved it! especially how Chelsea made the impressions of their speakers (I could hear the Hank ;D). would have liked to see the PDFs they talked about, I'll see if they do upload them all on their website without me having to have an account there one day.
I enjoyed the part about Sex and the City and how she handled metaphors not just here but in the whole book. it's like listening to their YouTube videos just without the video part and for far longer. I so do not regret the purchase and can recommend it to you wholeheartedly!
