I am normally a fan of Nicci French and was really looking forward to the latest offering. However, the story went nowhere until the very, very end, and the narrator was extremely annoying with her overacting of voices and characters. I persevered to see if it would go anywhere, but sadly, it didn't. Apart from the overacting, the characters were unbelievable and annoying. Sorry to have wasted a credit on this book.
