Enjoy this marvelous biography of the first president of the United States of America, from his early life to his death. Listen to The Extraordinary Life of George Washington and follow the extraordinary life of a man who, despite being celebrated for centuries, proves that even with flaws and failures, one can become great.
This brief but thorough biography by author Steven Wallace explores the life of the reluctant first president from his early childhood to his death. The life of George Washington is often surprising not only in his achievements but also in his failures.
A man who began his adult life as a land surveyor would one day lead a brand-new nation. The death of his brother would lead to the start of his relationship with the military, and this would eventually prove that Washington’s experience would outweigh his lack of military education. Washington was a man who was strong enough to survive smallpox and charismatic enough to bring troops back together despite losing in battle.
