"Goodness and evil reside in the same bed lying side by side in contrast, yet are inseparable because they are and always shall be one and the same."
Sitting atop the Fairfax Hotel is a gargoyle that some say wields mythical power to grant success, but not without a substantial price. Yet others claim it is simply a stone decoration misinterpreted by man's foolishness and greed for power. Which should we believe?
Success comes at a cost no matter how it is achieved whether through the act of making simple choices or committing murder. It is a dilemma that defines who or what we are. Sam Blythe has reached that moment in his life where he has to make that choice and decide what sacrifices he is willing to live with.
But the sudden changes in Sam's life has thrust him into his own novel where his characters are taking on the personages of the people that have mysteriously entered his life. Is his own book showing him what he should do or is it something else? Is this new direction of his own choosing or are these thoughts not his own and he is a pawn in a much bigger game as he faces The Evil from Above.
