Am relevantesten
in der Mitte des Buches. irgendwie zog sich die Story und man kam nicht wirklich voran. Auch wurde ich mit Mac und vor allem der Dame nicht so wirklich warm. Gegen Ende kam Fahrt auf und fand einen guten Abschluss.

Ein paar Amerikaner machen sich nach Kuba auf, um Dokumente und Geld aus der Zeit vor der Revolution nach Amerika zu bringen. Die völlig neurotischen Protagonisten wittern an jeder Straßenecke einen Spitzel und steigern sich derart in die Sache rein, dass sie am Ende reihenweise 20jährige Kubaner ins Jenseits befördern.

Das Buch ist langweilig, es liegt ihm ein dümmliches, uns Europäern eher fremdes Weltbild zugrunde, die Figuren sind komplett Unterleibgesteuert (auch nach eigenem Bekunden) und man muss sich zwingen bis zum Ende dabei zu bleiben.
