It became clear early on who the murderer had to be. From then on, it was quite painful to see Cate stumbling through the story.

The story wasn't as entertaining as the other audio book by Cathy Ace, but quite okay. I liked the way she read it. This time there wasn't a problem with French words as there weren't any ;).

For someone who mentions again and again how clever she is, the protagonist is surprisingly dumb, talking condescendingly about how ignorant, vulgar, obnoxious, self-righteous the people around her are, not realising that she herself is the worst of them all. The plot of this one is exceptionally lame, but the unsympathetic, arrogant sleuth takes it over the edge - and I haven’t even mentioned the unprofessional narration yet.
