Das Buch ist so spannend, dass ich jede Gelegenheit genutzt habe, um das Hörbuch noch ein Stück weiter zu hören. Die Geschichte ist wirklich komplex und wendungsreich und man leidet mit der wirklich sympathischen Protagonistin auf ihrem Weg durch falsche Fährten, Lügen und Halbwahrheiten mit. Das Thema des Buches ist aber auch ein dunkles Thema und die Erzählung enthält etliche brutale Elemente, die anzusprechen sich die Autorin auch nicht drückt, sondern mit denen sich ihre Hauptfigur auch ganz persönlich auseinandersetzen muss (Trigger: Vergewaltigung, Menschenhandel). Wer aber sich davon nicht abschrecken lässt, findet in "Buried Hours" einen spannenden Krimi mit Fokus auf den Ermittlung der Hauptperson, einer investigativen Journalistin, und auch noch mit einem Schuss Romantik am Ende.
