While most kids watched cartoons and ate Wheaties on Saturdays, Bill Wegman was working to become the player on the box. Growing up, Bill loved baseball so much that he'd sleep in his uniform the night before a game so that he'd be ready to walk miles to the field first thing in the morning. His pursuit of making it to the major leagues began at age four and didn't stop until he found himself under the bright lights, pitching for the Milwaukee Brewers. Yet, when he made it to the top … he experienced the unexpected.
Told by his daughter, the Bottom at the Top is an exclusive and honest depiction of what it's like to make it to the highest level in sports. It's a story filled with the hard, hilarious, and heaven-orchestrated events that led Bill to true soul satisfaction–found only in a Love that would immeasurably surpass his love of the game.
