Mark Jackson, the brilliant fusion engineer, is tasked to recapture Jupiter’s moon, Sinope. His foe is the sadistic heir to the Jovian Corporate Republic, and a man who hazed and tortured Mark in military school.

Now the JCR, rulers on Callisto and Ganymede, want them out—and taking the phosphorus mines on Sinope is the first step, after Mark’s father dies, leaving his mother as governor.
Mark has no trained troops, minimal weaponry, and an imposed rule not to kill except in self-defense. His foe conquered Sinope with trained troops, heavy weapons, and no rules against lethality. Yet, the fate of the Europan Territory, and the thousands of people living there, rests on his recapture of the lucrative Sinope mines.
If he fails, the JCR will extend its tyrannical grip on the people of Europa, and Mark can expect significant prison time, if he survives.
