Sehr schöne Geschichte über Verluste & Schicksalsschläge. Auch super gemacht, dass die Protagonistin zu Beginn nicht ganz so sympathisch rüberkommt & die Menschen meidet.

I loved the characters even tho they annoyed me at times, but they were so real! I also enjoyed their development, the whole story felt like it could be a real life story being told, which is great for my taste. If you want something with more action and less broken characters, then this book is not for you.

Habe das Hörbuch insgesamt sehr genossen! Ich mochte den Umzug nach Canada, das neue Haus, die Renovierung und auch die Beteiligten.
Die Sprecherin fand ich überwiegend auch super, lediglich in tragischen Momenten war sie mir etwas zu emotional. Zusammen mit den ohnehin gefühlsstarken Inhalten zum Ende des Buchs hin, wurde mir das etwas zuviel.
Wirklich gefallen haben mir auch viele der Zitate über den Kapiteln.
Am Anfang des Buchs habe ich oft laut gelacht, weil ich Dinge richtig gelungen lustig fand. Wie schon gesagt, zum Ende hin wurde alles etwas ernster. Nicht schlecht, aber ich hätte mir etwas weniger Tragik gewünscht. Zwar wird Tragisches oft nur angedeutet und nicht ausgewalzt, ändert aber nichts daran, dass man die Lücken gedanklich ja füllt.
Trotzdem: Eindeutig zu empfehlen!

the story is authentic and funny and sad. O can fully relate to Abby and while listening I smile at lot and sometimes had to laugh out loud. no the world around has not to doubt anymore whether I am an idiot 🤣
