In the Bible, the Book of Revelation is often considered a book about events that will take place in our future. The Beast will come, the number 666 will happen, etc. What is often overlooked, however, is that Jesus gave the contents of Revelation to John in about 95 AD. So everything written in the book was future to that time period, future to 95 AD.

Most of the things that are written about in Revelation have already come to pass. They were events that were to happen in John's future, but most have already happened in our past.

The Beast and the number 666 are prime examples of things that are relative to our past. And not only has the Beast in Revelation 13 happened already, the Second Beast mentioned in Revelation 13 has also happened. We have already seen 9 out of 10 horns of the Beast come and go. As a world, we are only waiting for the 10th horn to appear before Jesus returns.

When we understand these facts, and put it together against God's 7000 year plan for mankind, we then realize that Jesus will be returning very very soon. Yes, it will get bad first. The 7 last plagues are yet to be poured out. We will face very difficult times. But in the end, Jesus will return and usher in a whole new beautiful age.

The clock is ticking, and knowledge and understanding may just be the key to survival.
