Introduction

If the events in the Book of Genesis happened in 2021, how would the stories be told? How would we handle some of the social, domestic, religious beliefs, and practices in our present time? There probably would be news reports, criminal cases, domestic issues, and many would still argue about religious beliefs. In this story, all the characters from the Book of Genesis live in 2021, and most of them attend New Genesis Church. Miriam and Emmaline are devoted members of the congregation, and they love to gossip about the members of the church.

Miriam is a tall, slender woman. She loves to wear scarves and fancy glasses. She drives the nicest cars, and she lives in a big house in the suburbs of Eden County. She knows about all the gossip in the town, because she has many family and friends in high places. Emmaline is not so popular. She lives on the lower side of Eden County, but she also attends the New Genesis Church. Emmaline is a short, round woman with short curly hair. Emmaline likes to stay at home, but she loves to talk on the phone to Miriam.

Miriam and Emmaline have been best friends since elementary school. They talk on the phone almost everyday about current events at the church and around their city. If there is any new gossip, Miriam will rush home and call Emmaline to tell her the news.
