In letzter Zeit erscheint ja ziemlich viel Müll, was das Star-Wars-Universum angeht. Immer bombastischere Raumschlachten und unlogische Abläufe und Ereignisse gehen mir echt auf die Nerven. Dieses Buch macht vor, wie eine packende Star-Wars-Geschichte auszusehen hat!

This is a perfect audio book, giving you a very deep insight into the history of Darth Plagueis and Chancellor Palpatine. From Plagueis with his old master Darth Tenebris, over Palpatine at the age of 17, through a long path even into the story of the prequel trilogy. A great time span and so much backstory, that will even make you appreciate the films a lot more. And the voice actor is a pleasure to hear. His deep and pleasant voice is such a joy, he could read anything and I would want to listen.

The story is worth hearing if you are a big star wars fan! A brilliant prologue to the Skywalker saga and a great view on the stories of Plagueis, Sidious, Maul, Dooku, Sifo Dias and the reasons for the Clone Wars.
Daniel Davis performed brilliant telling of the story and interpreting the characters voices!

A lot of information about Darth Plagues is given as well as his master. How he took under his wing Darth Sidius and all the plans he had for the galaxy. The book gives a nice description of the Sith Dogma and their goals as well as an answer to what if QI Gon had trained Anakin.

All in all it is a great book with awesome voice acting.

Die Hintergrundgeschichte zu Darth Plagueis hat mich unglaublich fasziniert! Besonders spannend fand ich, wie Darth Plagueis Senator Palpatine als Darth Sidious angenommen und ihn zu seinem Schüler gemacht hat. Dadurch wurden viele Dinge im Star-Wars-Universum für mich klarer und verständlicher.

Der Sprecher ist wirklich herausragend! Obwohl ich kein englischer Muttersprachler bin, sondern deutschsprachig aufgewachsen bin, konnte ich alles problemlos verstehen. Die Betonung und Erzählweise haben die Geschichte lebendig gemacht. Absolut empfehlenswert für jeden Star-Wars-Fan, der mehr über die dunkle Seite der Macht erfahren möchte."
