Epic interesting story and brilliant speaker
The story is worth hearing if you are a big star wars fan! A brilliant prologue to the Skywalker saga and a great view on the stories of Plagueis, Sidious, Maul, Dooku, Sifo Dias and the reasons for the Clone Wars.
Daniel Davis performed brilliant telling of the story and interpreting the characters voices!

A wonderful tragedy.
Darth Plagueis, a Sith Lord iconic,
Had powers considered demonic:
By his wisdom applying
Could keep people from dying;
He was killed in his sleep. Ironic.

Spannend!!!
Sehr gut erzählt. Spanned bis zum Schluß. Für jeden der sich für die Sith Philosophie interessiert zu empfehlen.

Interessante Hintergründe und gute Ergänzung zum Canon
Passt Sehr interessant und auch mal die Sichtweise der Sith bei den Ereignissen zu erfahren.. Alles gut war eine runde Sache, viel Fokus auf der anderen Seite auf die Politischen Hintergründe.

The better title would be Star Wars: Darth Sidious (no Spiolers)
To sum it up quickly, this is together with the Zahn trilogy the best Star Wars I’ve read yet. I can only advise to read/ hear it. The title is somewhat misleading. The greatest accomplishment of the book is that it provides an origin story for one of the darkest characters in pop culture: the emperor, Darth Sidious. The best supporting characters of this story is actually Darth Plagueis. By reading it deepens the understanding of the prequel trilogy and especially helps to improve on some weaknesses of the script from Episode 1. For the advanced Star Wars fan this book delivers a great source of Sith philosophy as well. The Speaker does a great job and it uses in defining moments the score by John Williams, we all love. If you can spare the time read/ hear it.

Overall a good novel
Overall a good novel, but it feels drawn out in some parts. Although the insight politics is quite unique, it is not to everyone's taste. Only Star Wars novel up to date that I had to take a longer brake to finish.
Daniel Davis does an amazing job though.

this was insane
I loved it so much , this is a must to listen after I I directly watched episode one and understand so much more all the back stories for every scene it is insane how good this audiobook was
