First of all: the book talks roughly 7min about writing lyrics - the rest deals with othr aspects of writing, producing and publishing music.

the structure is very academic. Every chapter (or "article") starts with an introduction and ends with a summary leaving just a few minutes for the topic itself. Also listining to the same statemens during intro, main article and summary makes it repititious and boring to me. This leads to high-level ideas and advise l)along the lines of "dig into your feelings and observe the world around you to find inspiration for emotional meaningful lyrics". It provides little to none specific tools/tipps on what to try if you have no clue how to get started.

Finally, I don't like the speaker. His rythm doesn't feel natural. I managed to listen 3 chapters at 0.85 speed. But it was still difficult.
