gute Story, hält die Spannung, dabei sorgfältig recherchiert (Film-Business und Goldmienen), und wie erwartet bei D. Francis mit einem sehr sympatischen, lebensechten Hauptdarsteller/ normalen Helden

A special Dick Francis with a special hero - starting with him already being (happily) married, which few of his protagonists are.
Tony Britton always seems to have an "too old" voice for the 30ish old blokes (no offense intended) but once more I am amazed of the many dialects he seems to use 'at ease'. And also he gives every role such character, that I have no real problem with his voice not fitting to the "picture" I have of the protagonist's voice in general.
This book has been incredibly enthralling and I finished it in way too short time. When the finale was read, I almost cried, feeling the protagonist's desperation.
so: Definitely worth it!
