As to the story, I really enjoyed it so much. The grouchy veteran and the sexy executive with a wild side work so well together. The other characters, already familiar to me, because Chelle Bliss is a favourite author of mine, are all lovely and coming across exactly as I remember them from former books I've read. Even when they have just a few lines here, they are all fleshed out and spring off the page, or in this case, being the audio version, they come to live right away in the narration. This consistency cannot always be found and is something I noticed in a positive way. The story is great and I not only love the end but also the fact, that it's realistic enough not to pretend trauma us wiped clean overnight but that a loving partner helps and supports to slowly heal. These things take time but you can still live a happy and fulfilling life in so many other ways. Once again, Chelle Bliss nailed it with her perfect mix of lighthearted and sexy entertainment and darker aspects of life that happen but don't dominate the entire mood of the book. I love it when I smile on the last sentence and with this author, it happens every time! 💕
