Yes, it's a second chance and something I'm usually not soooo much into but this book makes a refreshing change. it's written with heart and soul, the characters are believable, realistic and multi-layered. They make mistakes learn, forgive and try to do better, even when life isn't a bed of Rose's but throws a few curveball their way. The thing is, when everything runs smoothly, everyone can shine but it is in the challenging situations in life when true character shows. You don't always get it right but you do your best and own your actions. You take responsibility. And that's what these characters have: real character. And it endears them even more to you. I loved it.
