It’s an interesting story! A bit different from the usual poor girl meets rich man and is to honourable to accept his offers to protect his money or whatever it is. But the narrator…Jesus Christ…I’m sure it’s a lot of work to record a book and also I’m sure she meant well, but this performance-and I never give bad reviews-was so awkward and wrong in quite every possible aspect that it nearly made me miss the story!

Die ersten drei Bücher hatten eine wirklich sehr gute Sprecherin. Leider wurde die gewechselt. Ich brauchte mehrere Anläufe, um mir das Buch anzuhören, weil mein einfach nicht lange zuhören kann. Wenn ich das Buch gekauft hätte, hätte ich mich sehr geärgert. Die Sprechweise passt gar nicht zum Buch. Da die Kritik auch von allen anderen Hörern kam kann ich nicht verstehen, warum diese Sprecherin auch die neuen Bücher der Autorin vorliest. Sehr schade für das Buch/ die folgenden Bücher.

After listening to the first three books this one was a conclusive buy. the speaker thpugh was quite detrimental in comparison to the dirst installments. the lady sounds as if she was high as a kite most if the time. the drawn out pronounciation and almost sleepy way of reading accompanied by the weird way of endings lots of words is disturbing and not very pleasant. Chapter four I was ready to abandon the book despite the wish of concluding the series.
