The characters were so instantly understood but each one had depth - would love to read a spin off about the guy she got her motorbike from or the woman who divorced the corporate lawyer.
Such an interesting portrait of Northern california/ the bay area and what and who makes it move. as a non US-ian, it reminds me of tv shows like breaking bad a bit with a sense of place, time and character that feels wide ranging.
Much more modern and nuanced than I would expect from a thriller like this but still a racing thriller! I am going to check the second book out straight away.
