Inspiration for the heart-pounding Prime Video show, Cross.
Homicide detective and forensic psychologist Alex Cross turns his powers of observation on the criminal known as Mastermind, whose every act is marked by a pathological need for control and perfection. Even with Cross's home life in crises, it’s Mastermind who captivates the investigator’s attention by dropping a series of clues that he is plotting one huge, last, perfect crime.
"Clever and engrossing … Roses Are Red is definitely in the can’t-put-down-until-the-final-page category.” —Orlando Sentinel
“It starts out, bang! … Patterson has got the material dead-on … another winner.” —Baltimore Sun

Setze die Serie fort
I mean come the f***k on in the period of like 5 years Alex Crosses girlfriends turn out to be psychopathic homicidal maniacs, get kidnapped, raped and murdered, while his niece gets kidnapped too, his daughters got a brain tumor and one of his sons schoolmates turns out to be a serial killer as well with only 12? Not to mention that his baby sons mother runs off because she’s traumatized from being held hostage for a year (unclear if she leaves the baby with Alex? I’m sure she said she would, but then the bay is never mentioned again in this book) Not even the Kennedy’s would believe such bad luck and it’s the freakin Kennedy’s! It’s just so badly made I don’t know if it’s supposed to be a joke or just James Patterson’s American ignorance paired with a real bad form of writers bravado.
The biggest issue I have with this book and almost all of Patterson’s books, is what I would call the “horror-film-effect”. It’s like in bad horror movies where so many people die a horrible death that you as the audience stop investing in the character and just don’t and can’t care anymore. With James Patterson it’s the same, every week something horrifying seems to happen to Alex Cross, it makes me stop caring, because it’s happened so many times I honestly can’t keep up with the horror of it all anymore.
Ugh,...seriously
