RP is not funny as it can be the cause of loss of vision, either in adults or children. Its effect on vision can be slow-moving or it can progress very quickly.
The author has been affected for over 30 years and understands the emotional toll this condition can have on the newly diagnosed. This book was written to shine a light on the humorous incidents that have happened (shared by the RP community), and hopefully help to educate the general public, friends, and loved ones on the humor that we see in our everyday lives. A vast majority of RP sufferers do not lose 100% of their vision.
