The protagonist is the best at everything with nearly no training except working at a farm before going to the military, she's more intelligent than the ppl around her, can use some kind of special power and in one of her mission briefings they pretty much tell her that she is the best hope for the survival of humankind. And all of this is established in the 1st hour of the audio book. I normally have nothing against hero protagonists, even if they are a bit of a Mary Sue or Gary Stu, but when those protagonists seemingly have absolutely no challenge in anything they do the story loses it's credibility and tension very fast.
