Über diesen Titel

Rick Werry was living the good life in beautiful Monroe, Utah. He was a young, athletic man who woke up every morning doing what he loved for work, and he had been lucky enough to marry his college sweetheart. A year after their marriage, all of that suddenly halted when an onsite construction injury nearly claimed his life. After a drug-induced coma, he regained consciousness only to learn that he had broken his neck at the C6 vertebrae. His accident left him paralyzed from the chest down and confined him to a wheelchair.

In Red Letter Days, Rick chronicles how he learned to adapt to his new life and rise above his obstacles to soar to new heights he never expected. Since his accident, Rick has used his concept of achieving Red Letter Days–accomplishing something new that he couldn’t do the day before–to overcome the shock of adjusting to life in a wheelchair and pull himself out of the depths of depression. He has learned numerous new skills, such as how to hunt, ice fish, and handcycle marathon distances. Rick has even become a professional athlete as a member of the Las Vegas High Rollers’ National DII runner-up professional wheelchair rugby team.

Today, he shares his message of inspiration and hope with others to encourage them to pursue their own Red Letter Days and push themselves beyond the bounds of what they formerly believed was possible. Along the way, Rick reminds listeners that it doesn’t matter which hobbies you pursue in life. What’s more important is who comes with you on the ride.
