Great book, but difficult to listen to the reader

The book is great, wonderfully researched and well written. The performance makes it however tough to follow. The performance is limited by the reader’s difficulty in pronouncing non-English names (and there are many!) and a slightly monotonous performance and staccato pace. It gets better after the first few chapters.
