Ansprechende Geschichte, erzählt auf verschiedenen Zeitebenen. Dabei wechseln die Kapitel durchgehend zwischen drei Protagonisten ab. Am Schluss werden alle Fäden zusammengeführt werden.

Meiner Meinung nach ist die Story aber nicht so gut als ungekürztes Hörbuch geeignet. Ich empfand die 19 Stunden manchmal etwas zu schleppend, so dass ich gedanklich auch das ein oder andere mal abgeschweift bin. Das Buch habe ich bisher noch nicht gelesen. Das Lesevergnügen dürfte hier vermutlich größer sein als das Hörvergnügen.

Die Sprecherin zählt zwar nicht zu meinen Lieblingssprechern, hat aber eine angenehme Stimme und betont ansprechend. Anne Flosnik kannte ich bisher von den beiden Sarah Lark Büchern "In the Land of the Long White Cloud" und "Song of the Spirits" - die beiden Hörbücher sind übrigens sehr empfehlenswert und trotz der Länge sehr kurzweilig -.
