I really struggled through this. The storytelling is deeply banal à la “I get up, shower and wash my hair because it is greasy. Afterwards, I use the hairdryer to dry it and put it up in a bun. I also brush my teeth. Then I put on some make up, today only mascara and some lip gloss…” and on and on and on. Lots of little and mostly irrelevant details and side stories that lead nowhere. Yawn! The narrator emphasizes this by reading every sentence in more or less the same way. The story also more predictable than is acceptable even for a romcom novel in my opinion, and full of clichés. Definitely not worth the Audible credit.
