Soon, Becca ends up on Who Wants to Be a Painiac? to learn the truth about her mom's connection to Molly Mauler, but things turn sinister when people are murdered IRL. Will Becca uncover dark secrets and make it out of the deadly reality show alive? Or will she get cut?

The initial premise isn't even that bad. People are still obsessed with the show, they desperately want their dopamine fix back, and they decide to crowdfund a new show.
But the way the story was handled… the pacing, the twists that seemed to exist purely for the sake of having a twist, and, my god, that ending.
It took me quite a while to finish the audiobook simply because, at some point, I just couldn't take it anymore.
I'm honestly sorry to write such a negative review, especially because I really wanted to like this. It's genuinely sad to see such a promising idea and story get gutted like this.
