The story takes place in Corpus Christi, Texas and focuses on 3 main characters. First is Finn Knight, an ex-cop and now a private investigator. She is followed by Detective Dee Woodward and Finn’s receptionist/assistant Rylee. A murder investigation brings the three of them closer together, and they solve the crime over the course of the book. On the way there, however, many unpredictable things happen.
For a while, I didn’t know where the book was taking me, and I was wondering what might happen. However, none of my thoughts came true and Gerri Hill surprised me.
I liked this book because it had 3 strong women as main characters. They are all completely different and at the same time, they have a lot in common. ;) This may sound strange, but it makes sense after finishing the book. Highly recommended!
