I love the Redwall books and Mattimeo was always my favourite. I was so happy to see that New Audiobooks were made, but sadly, for this book the wrong voice was chosen. The voices he gives the charackters Sound more mocking then anything else. The worst is Basil Stag Hare. He sounds like an arogant ass, instead of the lovebale old campaigner he is. Hornobale mentions go to Matthias and Baby Rollo, they really bad as well. And when he does the Story teller, everything sounds like he is not intrested in what he is telling at all. And its kinda slow too, like sometimes the pauses between the words feel a bit too long. Feels awkward to lisent too.
So yeah, the speaker makes it or breaks it for you with an Audiobook and sadly this one is not my cup of tea.
