A series of missed chances, misdirected letters, and miscommunications keeps the couple apart; it make require the intervention of their nearest relations to bring them back together.

The narrator was ok when talking plot or most of the male characters. But the female ones were hard to bear. It seemed his style was to make them always sound urgent. This really took me out.
