Die Geschichte ist nett. Sympatische Figuren, nette Handlung. Die Sprecherin hat eine angenehme Stimme. macht aber an unmöglichen Stellen Pause und betont irgendwelche Wörter. Das nervt ziemlich.

I’ve only come across this author since Audible included her books in the subscription. I am not sure I should have bought them. However, I thought the writing style pleasant. The numerous supporting characters are fun and remind me of the intricate stories of Georgette Heyer. Of course the plot is predictable - it’s a romantic regency novel so this goes without saying.

The narrator does a very good job with the different characters, but there is an odd tendency to break up sentences in a staccato-like fashion that can be very, very distracting.

Overall, it’s a good audiobook. Not fantastic, not great, but it makes for a pleasant 8 hours.

The accent is distractingly fake. Almost offensively terrible. I've listened long enough to leave a review, now I'm out. Good luck to the others.
