Giant monsters are attacking, and no city is safe!
When Drakon, king of the Kaiju, attacked his home, Eric’s life changed forever. With buildings crumbling around him and giant monsters battling for dominance, he thought he was a dead man. The ending feels to much compressed and leaves open quite some plot for a book 2, which very probably will never be written.
Nevertheless, if you enjoy Kaijus, this is a decent read and I don't feel like I wasted my time. Nethertheless a bit more Kaijus escalation battles would have been preferable. It feels all to level-headed, which is even more supported by the narrators style.
The audiobook is spoken by Graham Mack which also did e.g. The Goblin Summoned series. He makes a little longer pauses between sentences which upsets some people. His deaccelarating way of reciting works great in this case and is very good to understand. Listen in to the example if you are unsure.
Quite decently written story if you let it
